$GHT + Tycoon

Players can purchase P2E assets for $GHT, which generate $GHT. These assets do not affect the balance of the free gameplay, but allow participation in an alternative P2E scenario.

Players can purchase special P2E assets, which allow them to generate tokens and receive additional income in the ecosystem.

P2E items are the main source of earning $GHT. They allow players to generate a steady daily income in tokens, but require regular replenishment with items to keep things running smoothly.

  • The game features 3 types of items, that generate $GHT: Attraction, Food Cart and Vending Machine that generate token on daily basis if player completed ToDo daily tasks. Each item has 2 periods of activity: period of "fixed rate" (when item generates token at fixed rate until player fully gets his investment back) and "variable rate" (when item generates random amount of token based on ecosystem earnings allocated to pool). After the fixed rate period, a period of variable rate begins, which depends on the activity of the entire ecosystem as a whole and is formed as a share of its profit. Fixed rate period can be optionally skipped to enter variable rate early.

    • Reward Pool (variable rate phase) is formed from 50% of ecosystems token earnings.

    • For each item category, a certain share of tokens from the reward pool is allocated, after which this share is equally distributed among all owners of the item of that category.

  • The yield of an item depends on its value: the higher the value, the higher the daily income in tokens.

  • If the item is not replenished with goods, it stops generating tokens until it is replenished.

Mechanics of P2E Assets

  1. Item Purchase: The player purchases a P2E item for $GHT and places it in their shop.

  2. Startup: Once installed, the item starts generating daily income in tokens.

  3. Item replenishment: The item must be replenished daily with items to keep it running.

  4. $GHT Earnings: The player receives a fixed amount of $GHT each day depending on the value of the item during fixed rate period.

  5. Item Wear and Tear: After the variable income period expires, the item loses its functionality and must be purchased again.

  6. The player has the option to switch to the variable income mode before the end of the fixed rewards period. This function becomes available after some time passed after release of P2E mechanics.

Notes:

  • Players can own multiple items at the same time, increasing the total income in tokens.

  • Items must be constantly replenished with goods to maximise the potential of the P2E mechanic.

Upgrade Description

In GiftHorse Tycoon, upgrades are represented by special staff units that allow you to increase the profitability of P2E items or automate the process of replenishing them with goods.

Main upgrade functionality:

  • Increase income of all P2E items - income increases depending on the upgrade cost.

  • Automate item replenishment - items automatically receive the necessary items without the need for manual replenishment.

  • Different validity periods - upgrades work for a temporary or permanent period depending on their type.

Notes:

  • The effects of income bonuses are summed up if a player has more than one upgrade.

  • Upgrades with automatic replenishment only work on P2E items purchased with tokens.

  • When an upgrade expires, the effect is lost and the player must re-purchase it.

Special staff mechanics

  1. Purchase of upgrade - player buys a special staff for $GHT.

  2. Upgrade activation - depending on type of upgrade it increases income of P2E-assets or automates item replenishment.

  3. Duration of operation - the replenishment upgrade is valid for a certain period of time (1 week or 1 month).

  4. Expiration - if the upgrade is temporary, it disappears after the period is over, requiring a re-purchase.

Diamond Purchase for $GHT

In GiftHorse Tycoon, there is an option to purchase diamonds with $GHT, allowing players to use tokens not only in the P2E scenario but also in the internal economy of the free game scenario.

Basic principles of mechanics:

  • Diamonds can only be purchased with $GHT, and reverse exchange is not possible – diamonds cannot be converted back into tokens.

  • Diamonds are primarily used in the main gameplay – they are used to speed up development and buy in-game items.

  • Buying diamonds is the only point of intersection between the P2E and the free version of the game, which allows for balancing the impact of tokens on the project's economy.

Notes:

  • The larger the diamond package, the more favorable the exchange rate due to the volume discount.

  • Diamonds are used exclusively in the free scenario – they do not affect the profitability of P2E items and cannot be converted back into tokens.

How can players use diamonds?

  • Progress acceleration and item purchases

    • Non-cross-wipe loot boxes

  • Time-limited in-game events:

    • Future updates will feature in-game events oriented on diamond spendings
